There has been an explosion in Bed and Breakfast and other type of guest establishments in the last 20 years. In a bed and breakfast, you share the house with the other guests and the owner and get at least breakfast; though some provide box lunches and dinner. Many are beautifully restored Victorian era homes that are furnished and decorated in a manner that you would never find in the average motel. This makes them heavy on the charm appeal. Almost all of them are run by the owner who is on the premises so you can get personal service without the resort type costs.
